Fish River is a 28.9-mile-long river in Baldwin County. The river forms near the town of Stapleton and eventually empties into Weeks Bay, which in turn drains to Mobile Bay. In total, the watershed drains 161 square miles of central Baldwin County. The river and its tributaries consist of 286+ miles of river, creeks, and streams with the main stem of the river spanning approximately 30 miles from Stapleton to Weeks Bay. The Fish River watershed is primarily composed of forest areas which cover about 50 percent of the watershed. Wetlands cover about 5 percent of the watershed while developed land covers approximately 15 percent.
