Mobile Baykeeper is an environmental nonprofit organization working to defend and revive the health of coastal waters in Alabama. We are working towards a future where our oyster reefs make a resilient return, and we need your help to achieve this vision.
We are hiring paid/part-time internship positions for our Oyster Gardening Program. In partnership with Auburn University, we grow oysters in cages on private property docks over the course of 4-6 months. These oysters are deployed on natural habitats for restoration.
Applicant must:
Interns will provide care and maintenance for oyster gardens and assist with restoration deployment activities. We do not require prior experience working with oysters, but prior fieldwork experience is preferred. Mileage expenses will be reimbursed.
