About the Role
Mobile Baykeeper is seeking an Administrator to manage our AmeriCorps State and National grant and carry out day-to-day administrative functions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for securing and remaining compliant with our annual grant by collaborating with the Baykeeper team to ensure programmatic goals are met amongst the education, field and research, oyster gardening, and volunteer engagement teams, while also managing reception and other administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and manage the AmeriCorps State and National grant annually. This includes pursuing the grant opportunity each year; ensuring compliance with all grant requirements including reporting deadlines, documentation, and programmatic benchmarks; communicating grant requirements to team members; and recruiting AmeriCorps participants annually
- Serve as the primary point of contact for AmeriCorps program officers, providing regular updates, responding to inquiries, and facilitating communication between Mobile Baykeeper and AmeriCorps.
- Seek out and provide training and technical assistance to staff members and AmeriCorps program participants
- Ensure all Baykeeper visitors, whether in-person, on the phone, or through email, feel welcome and directed to the correct department for their needs
- Seek out administrative tasks that improve the Baykeeper teams’ ability to defend and revive the health of the waters of Coastal Alabama

- Experience or ability to learn software used for communication and collaboration (Microsoft Office Suite, task management software)

- Exhibit ability to communicate clearly
