Corporate Sponsorship Manager

Location: Mobile, Alabama

Location and Hours: Full-Time, Hybrid (in-office with some travel and opportunity for remote work) 

About the Role

The Corporate Sponsorship Manager at Mobile Baykeeper will play a critical role on the Development Team, focusing on building and maintaining relationships with companies passionate about defending and reviving the health of Coastal Alabama’s waters. This full-time, hybrid role involves creating sponsorship programs, securing consistent funding, and ensuring sponsorship agreements are fulfilled. Ideal candidates are experienced in fundraising or sales, adept at CRM software, and aligned with Baykeeper’s mission and values.

Key Responsibilities

The Sponsorship manager will be part of Mobile Baykeeper’s Development Team and work directly under the Major Donor Advisor. The Development Team uses relationships to find those who share a passion for the improvement of the health of the waters of Coastal Alabama and show them how they can make an impact.  The Sponsorship Manager will: 

• Creatively develop sponsorship program that leads to consistent funding from companies whose brand aligns with defending the waters of Coastal Alabama. 30% 
• Independently build and maintain relationships with individuals within our sponsor companies, involving them in our work when possible. 50% 
• Hold Baykeeper team members accountable in fulfilling sponsorship agreements. 20% 

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Exhibit Baykeeper’s values of excellence, accuracy, responsibility, tenacity, and humility  
• Experience in fundraising, sales, or other external affairs work. 
• Relationships with companies or organizations who align with Baykeeper’s mission to defend and revive the health of the waters of Coastal Alabama. 
• Experience in the use of customer relationship management (CRM) software to organize relationships and activities. 
• Willingness to challenge the status quo, hold polluters accountable, and unabashedly defend and revive the coastal waters of Alabama.
