The Alabama Rivers Alliance has awarded the Alabama Stormwater Partnership the 2010 BEST NEW GROUP OF THE YEAR for outstanding work in organizing and joining existing groups around the state in the pursuit to improve one of the Alabama Water Agenda’s top threats, Stormwater.

"Mobile Baykeeper and Cahaba River Society have worked seamlessly to deal with major aspects of the stormwater threat.  With a 2 pronged approach you are addressing policy issues with the EPA and the on-the-ground citizen identification and reporting of stormwater runoff from construction.  These efforts will make great headway in addressing the many associated problems that excessive stormwater runoff causes-- the scouring, smothering, and flooding of Alabama waterways.  Our thanks and recognition goes out to the Alabama Stormwater Partnership!!!"
