SouthWings flight photos

Pilot Dan Luke flew Casi and two reporters from Coastal Living magazine across the Mississippi coastal barrier islands down to Louisiana.  The shrimp boat pictures were taken on the interior of southwestern Louisiana on the south side of the Mississippi River.  The oil soaked islands were closer to the mouth of the Mississippi River.

Along with Coastal Living magazine reporters, we were joined by World Wildlife Fund’s Darren Collins to get a waterfront view of how our area will be protected by booms, etc.  It was good to see many areas well protected, but the entirety of Mon Louis Island is wide open and exposed.  It was a bonus to watch frolicking and healthy dolphins!
