Casi (kc) Callaway- (pronounced kc) is from Mobile, Alabama, graduated from the last all girls’ class of Julius T. Wright and finished with a degree in Philosophy and Ecology from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. She started in the environmental field as the Southeastern Regional College Campus Coordinator for Earth Day 1990. Mrs. Callaway’s next environmental job was in Washington, DC for Clean Water Action. She worked on local, state, and federal campaigns doing public education, research of political issues, lobbying at every level of government and fundraising. Before leaving DC, Mrs. Callaway attained the positions of the DC Field Canvass Director and the D.C. Office’s Florida Program Director.
As Executive Director & Baykeeper of Mobile Baykeeper (formerly Mobile Bay Watch, Inc.), Mrs. Callaway is responsible for coordinating public education; community organizing; research and fundraising. Mobile Baykeeper has over 3,500 members and deals with issues such as sewage, air toxics, mercury exposure, permit violations, industrial growth and other public health protection issues. She holds four gubernatorial appointments and serves on the boards of several local, state and regional environmental organizations.
Tammy Herrington

As Deputy Director for Mobile Baykeeper, Tammy's primary responsibility is currently responding to the oil crisis in the Gulf of Mexico. She coordinates volunteers, works on community outreach, public relations and manages the grants for the organization. She is originally from Louisiana and graduated from University of Southern Mississippi with a B.S. in Psychology and a minor in English. Her previous experience includes serving as the Community Outreach Coordinator and contract grant writer for The Lighthouse shelter in Baldwin County. Tammy’s passion for spending time on the water started at an early age from visits to Gulf Coast beaches and fishing trips with her grandfather.
Donna C. Jordan

As Program Director, Donna’s primary responsibility is to ensure regulatory agencies are accountable for implementing environmental statutes. She monitors local projects of environmental concern as well as tracking air and water permitting activity in the watershed. She also reviews member concerns and public comments received for possible expanded involvement of Mobile Baykeeper.
A native of Alabama’s Wiregrass region, Donna is a 2002 magna cum laude graduate of Troy University, where she received her B.A. in Business Administration. Her interest in Alabama’s waterways began during her childhood in rural Crenshaw County, living on Gantt Lake and fishing with her family on Patsaliga Creek and the Conecuh River. Donna first came to Mobile Baykeeper as a volunteer, before joining staff as an Americorps VISTA volunteer, and eventually becoming Program Director.
Elyse Marley

Originally from Sapulpa, Oklahoma, Elyse moved from Baton Rouge, LA to Mobile in 1981 with daughter Jeni and husband Bob (yes, Bob Marley!). She is Grandmother to Ben and Murphy. Elyse worked for the American Red Cross for many years in Safety, Health & Emergency Services, PR and Development; she was Branch Director for the Arthritis Foundation and most recently, Special Events Coordinator for the Museum of Mobile. Elyse attended the University of South Alabama and the Southeast Tourism Marketing College. She serves as Alpha Omicron Pi, Mobile Chapter Alumnae President. As Development Director, Elyse is responsible for membership, Grandman Triathlon, BayBash and other fundraising efforts.

Lynne was born in New Orleans and grew up on the Gulf Coast in Pass Christian, MS. A graduate of Tulane University, Lynne had a successful career in the retail sector both in New York and Washington DC. Lynne is extremely pleased to be contibuting her talents an skills to Mobile Baykeeper and its efforts to ensure the environmental health and beauty of the Gulf Coast and its waterways.
Beth Nichols
Partnership Coordinator

Beth, a native of Fairhope, Alabama serves as the Partnership Coordinator for Mobile Baykeeper. As Partnership Coordinator, her primary responsibility is to help develop and maintain Mobile Baykeeper’s partnerships within the community. Those partnerships include the Alabama Stormwarter Partnership, Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM) Reform Coalition, Muddy Water Watch, and 100-1000: Restore Coastal Alabama. Beth graduated with degrees in Political Science and Economics from the University of Alabama and received her J.D. from the University of Mississippi School of Law. Having grown up on the Eastern Shore, Beth’s love for the Gulf Coast was embedded in her from a young age. She looks forward to helping protect and preserve the coast while working for Mobile Baykeeper.
Devon Coleman
Special Issues Coordinator

As Special Issues Coordinator, Devon’s primary responsibility is to educate the community and key stakeholders on the need for restoration funding in the wake of the Deepwater Horizon Oil Disaster. She coordinates with local environmental groups to work on meaningful restoration opportunities for the greater Mobile Bay area.
Originally from Washington DC, Devon has lived all over the country from the East Coast (DC and Durham, NC) to the West Coast (Southern California) and in between (Oklahoma). For the past 8 years she has lived in Mobile, falling in love with the Bay, beaches and southern hospitality for which Mobile is known. Before joining Mobile Baykeeper, Devon kept herself busy by raising three young children and as an active volunteer with the Junior League of Mobile—two activities that she continues today. She graduated from Duke University with a degree in Public Policy Studies.
AmeriCorps VISTA
AmeriCorps VISTA is a national service program whose members commit to serve full-time for a year at a nonprofit organization or local government agency. Mobile Baykeeper's VISTA volunteers work with communities most impacted by pollution and help with fundraising activities, public relations and marketing, water quality monitoring, stormwater runoff education, and most recently - the BP oil disaster in the Gulf of Mexico.
Bethany Olson
Bethany recently graduated from St Olaf College. A lifelong resident of Minnesota, she has relocated to the Gulf Coast to join Mobile Baykeeper as a VISTA after interning with us last January. Having focused on environmental studies in college, she felt called to get involved in the Gulf Coast’s restoration process following the BP Oil Disaster, and serendipitously discovered Baykeeper during a service trip in Bayou La Batre in July 2010. Bethany is passionate about clean water, sustainable development, and community action. She is excited to join forces with Mobile Baykeeper and work towards sustainable recovery in Mobile and throughout the Gulf Coast.
